WSX - Weather Station

Changes in weather can be potentially damaging to deployed tracker systems.  With an anemometer and irradiant readers, the Weather Station ensures that relevant weather information is delivered immediately. It will automatically act on potentially damaging storm conditions by sending stow codes to prevent equipment damage.  Each Field Controller system is equipped with a Weather Station; the two work in tandem to ensure stability in the wake of otherwise unpredictable weather factors.

The Weather Station's numerous features can be programmed to trigger events and notifications to provide invaluable information or alert codes. For example, the anemometer data is capable of triggering stow codes when the wind speed is too great.

Messages from the Weather Station will be transmitted frequently, often many times an hour, ensuring that weather information is current. This information opens up possibilities of measuring efficiency and understanding of when and why deployed tracker systems are at their peak performance.
